Schwartz Farms Inc. was founded in 1978 and at the time was predominantly involved in crop farming. Although Schwartz Farms is still involved in farming todays primary operations are within the pork industry. Schwartz Farms Inc. employs over 550 full-time individuals and owns sows in the upper Midwest predominantly in Minnesota Kansas Iowa South Dakota and Nebraska. What would you do as a Maintenance & Repair Technician for Sow Farm
Are you ready to make a real impact As a Maintenance Technician youll be the go-to expert supporting our sow farm facility across a wide range of critical areas. From plumbing and welding to carpentry electrical work vehicle servicing and general maintenance-youll take on hands-on projects that keep our operations running smoothly. Are you a good fit
To thrive in this role youll bring a well-rounded set of mechanical skills and hands-on experience. A solid background in carpentry welding electrical work plumbing and concrete work will serve as the foundation for your success. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks will be essential as you navigate a variety of maintenance responsibilities each day.
Previous experience in areas such as plumbing painting machine servicing electrical repairs or vehicle maintenance will give you a strong edge. A valid drivers license and clean driving record are required.
Knowledge and skills required and preferred for the position are:
- Working knowledge of general mechanical skills
- including general carpentry
- welding
- electrical
- plumbing & concrete experience
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
- Previous plumbing painting machine servicing electrical and/or vehicle servicing experience preferred
- or a combination thereof
- Clean driving record
