Job Description

Saint Josephs College of Maine is hiring for the position of Partnership and Transfer Agreement Coordinator!

Position Description:

This position supports SJC Online and organic lead initiatives for the college by initiating and facilitating the creation of new Partnership and Articulation Agreements (Transfer Agreements). Additionally oversees and maintains all existing OLC agreements by connecting with current and prospective partner organizations and schools increasing awareness of OLC program offerings among partner organizations and schools offering transfer evaluations to prospective students and promoting SJC as a valuable educational partner with transfer-friendly programs.

Initiates and facilitates the creation of new Partnership Agreements for SJC Online by:

  • Seeking out initiating and developing relationships with potential partner organizations
  • Coordinating and creating new Partnership Agreements with partner organizations

Oversees and maintains existing Partnership Agreements for SJC Online by:

  • Maintaining all existing Partnership Agreements and connections with partner organizations to increase awareness of OLC programs
  • Ensuring that current Partnership Agreement information is easily accessible to OLC students and staff
  • Maintaining a current list (including updating relevant systems) of all active partners and ensuring that all active partners continue to promote the partnership
  • Conducting regular reviews of each partnership to determine if it is beneficial for SJC to maintain
  • Communicating regularly with partners to provide news and updates and to ensure that partner members are aware of the partnership benefits

Initiates and facilitates the creation of new Articulation Agreements for SJC Online by:

  • Seeking out initiating and developing relationships with potential articulated institutions
  • Coordinating with the Associate Dean of Academic Initiatives and Innovation to create new MOUs with articulated institutions

Oversees and maintains existing Articulation Agreements for SJC Online by:

  • Maintaining all existing Articulation Agreements and connections with articulated institutions to ensure current accurate transfer equivalencies
  • Liaising with Program Directors and the Registrar to confirm transfer course equivalencies
  • Ensuring that current Articulation Agreement information is easily available to OLC students and staff
  • Maintaining the website list of all active agreements and ensuring that all active articulated institutions continue to promote the agreement
  • Conducting regular reviews of each agreement to determine if it is beneficial for SJC to maintain
  • Communicating regularly with articulated institutions to provide news and updates and to ensure that their students are aware of the agreement
  • Informing articulated institutions of key changes to curricula that impact existing agreements

Coordinates Partnership and Articulation Efforts for the College by:

  • Liaising with other departments across the college to seek out and develop additional partnership opportunities and benefits to include internship and sponsorship opportunities
  • Connecting with Program Directors to seek out potential partners or articulated institutions
  • Working with the Director of Online Admissions to develop travel event and presentation opportunities with partners and articulated institutions
  • Updating other departments on new agreements and key changes to existing ones
  • Seeking relevant approval for new agreements and ensuring timely completion of paperwork when required

Increases public awareness of partnership and transfer opportunities for OLC programs by:

  • Traveling to represent SJC at fairs events conferences and site visits
  • Conducting presentations about SJC programs for partners or articulated institutions
  • Conducting transfer evaluations for students interested in following an Articulation Agreement

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills in the areas of written verbal and listening skills including public speaking skills - within discussions the ability to respond in an honest and positive manner while anticipating what the speaker may request and need to hear
  • Demonstrated customer service skills to provide an experience for prospective students and families that is unique and special to Saint Josephs College
    • Must demonstrate teamwork skills and a willingness to help others
    • Possess a positive attitude to foster a cohesive working environment
    • Demonstrated technology knowledge and experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office products
    • Must have a valid drivers license complete a driver training program and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
    • Demonstrated organization and time management skills including the ability to effectively prioritize tasks under deadline stresses
    • Ability to gather data compile information and prepare reports
    • Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions
    • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented multi-task goal attaining environment.
    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
    • Able to work with a wide range of people.
    • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
    • Abilityto maintain confidentiality and discretion
