Job Summary
I. Job Summary
The Oncology Medical Specialist/ Medical Assistant assists in patient care in the office and infusion area and is responsible for the safe care & transport of patients. Completes appropriate documentation of services. Performs procedures as appropriate and scope of care. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficient functioning of the office. Maintains records assists with basic examinations and obtains vital signs height and weight of patients.
II. Duties And Responsibilities
Employee will be required to be readily available to work during any weather related incidents or other natural disasters and/or any emergency situation that may arise.
III. Education And Experience
- Basic Life Support required
- Training/equivalent experience as a CNA EMT Medical Assistant
- LPN preferred
IV. Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately
- Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and computers preferred
- Ability to move or lift patients and equipment
