Title I ELA Interventionist Job Description

Position Overview: The Title I ELA Interventionist will provide targeted support to students struggling with english language arts through small group tutorials and one-on-one instruction. This role is essential for enhancing student understanding and performance in english ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide small group and one-on-one ELA tutorials to students.
Assess students english skills and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to students needs.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with the curriculum.
Monitor and track student progress adjusting instruction as necessary.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support at home.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional practices.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of ELA:Strong understanding of math concepts and instructional strategies for various grade levels.
Instructional Skills:Ability to design and implement effective lesson plans and interventions that meet diverse learning needs.
Assessment Proficiency:Experience in using assessments to identify student needs and measure progress.
Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students parents and staff.
Collaboration:Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support student learning goals.
Adaptability:Flexibility to adjust instructional methods based on student needs and feedback.
Patience and Empathy:Ability to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment for students who may be struggling.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Education English or a related field.
Previous experience in teaching or tutoring english preferred.
Understanding of Title I programs and regulations is a plus.
