Role description:
Due to consistent growth in our team and a steadily improving pipeline of work in our core business of civil highways engineering we are seeking expressions of interest for future opportunities with Arcadis fora Civil Engineer with 5-12 years of experience to join our Perth-based team to work on road and highway this role you will apply your technical expertise and design management skills to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure designs planning and execution meet Main Roads WA standards and project objectives.
Role accountabilities:
Design and Engineering Solutions:
- Develop and review road and highway designs including geometric alignment pavement drainage and earthworks using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or 12D.
- Ensure compliance with Main Roads WA standards guidelines and specifications in all aspects of design and project execution.
Project Delivery:
- Collaborate with project managers structural engineers and other team members to deliver integrated solutions for major highway projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project plans technical specifications and tender documentation.
Technical Analysis:
- Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis for roadworks intersections and other civil infrastructure elements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with Main Roads WA local authorities contractors and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and approvals are obtained.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Conduct reviews of designs and documentation to ensure quality accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
- Uphold strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations during project delivery.
Sustainability and Innovation:
- Incorporate sustainable engineering practices into designs to minimize environmental impact and optimize resource efficiency.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5-12 years of experience in civil engineering with a strong focus on road and highway projects.
- Proven experience working on projects with Main Roads WA or similar transport authorities.
- Proficiency in road design software such as Civil 3D AutoCAD or 12D.
- Strong knowledge of MRWA standards guidelines and engineering practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
