The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy High Voltage Products has a Secondary Engineering team for Gas Insulated Switchgear to produce Local Control Cubicles. The work involves mainly creating electrical circuit diagrams and supporting documents. The CAE tool named E3 is used for generating schematics. It would involve interaction with other departments like Primary Project Management and Production

How youll make an impact

• Preparation of LCC schematics for High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (66 kV and above)

• Preparation of GIS CB / Disconnector / Earthing switch / Fast Acting Earthing switches / CT & VT schematics

• Preparation of JBs for CT VT and Density monitors

• AC/DC Load calculation

• Preparation of Interlocking table and schematics for various Busbar configurations

• Self-reviewing the documents before submitting to Lead Engineer

• Generating Preliminary BOM by understanding the importance and consequences of releasing it

• Preparation of Mimic boards inline with SLD and Layout drawings

• Understanding and preparation of Communication Architecture diagrams

• Preparation of protection schematics (Trafo Line Busbar) when weve integrated protection in LCC

• Preparation of complete Digital LCC drawings as part of Digital Substation (with NCITs MUs SAM600 modules etc..)

• Preparation of Gas Density monitoring panels using MSM (Modular Switchgear Monitoring)

• Cable sizing calculation

• Adhering to applicable codes practices QA/QC policies performance standards and specifications

• Review of the complete drawings including Base Design Detail design Manufacturing documents Workshop revision and As built

• Estimating the hours and date required to complete an assigned task

• Clarification / technical Meetings with LPG on projects

• Monitoring engineering hours for all of their WPs

• Co-ordination with factory for clarifying queries related to their respective projects Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background

• Bachelors in electrical & Electronics Engineering with overall experience of 8-10 years

• Excellent knowledge of CAE tools (Nice to have experience in e3 not mandatory)

• Very Good knowledge of Protection & Control Systems for T & D / Gen

• Familiarity with codes and applicable standards like IEC IEEE ANSI etc...

• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

• Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism

• Good Communication and Interpersonal skill
