Wage Range:$20.00 $22.00 hourly non-exempt

Position Overview:
The main duties of this job are dishwashing with help with food preparation once the dishwashing duties are completed. May also assist in serving cafeteria style for up to 70 clients. Ensures dish and food preparation equipment are within cleanliness guidelines. This position is intended to be a pathway towards a Cook position.
What you will do:
Maintain compliance with NARAs policy and procedures as well as state county and federal guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness of dishes and kitchen area.
Preps food that will be used in the creation of meals.
Assist in maintaining inventory of kitchen department supplies and ordering materials as needed.
Help serve meals to clients in cafeteria.
Maintain effective working relationships with NARA staff.
Attend facility and department meetings as needed.
Attend training classes as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned
We would like to hear from people that have:
Either High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification required Six months dishwashing experience in a high-volume setting
Knowledge of food preparation.
Ability to use kitchen equipment and knives in a safe manner.
Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must have a current Food Handlers Card.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients the community and other staff members.
Work collaboratively with clients other NARA staff team members and to treat everyone with respect and dignity at all times.
Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community is considered a plus.
Ability to pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
Ability to pass criminal background and DMV checks

Benefits:Employees working 20 hours or more are eligible for benefits. Benefits are effective from the 1st of the month following the date of hire.
