As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Operations Technology Line of Business you will play a vital role in an agile team dedicated to improving developing and providing reliable market-leading technology products that are secure stable and scalable. Your core responsibilities include being a key technical contributor tasked with implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains to support the firms business goals.
Job responsibilities
- Utilizing Java Development to create medium and large sized Java web applications including client interactions system design frontend/UI development interaction with Java EE application server and web services
- Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
- Working with Java EE APIs; Working with development builds using Maven pattern builds
- Application deployments using Jenkins Jules and JFrog artifactory
- Integration/enterprise testing utilizing Wiremock Hoverfly Jmeter and BlazeMeter; support of applications within a production environment using Grafana Splunk and Dynatrace
- Implementing Micro services using Spring Boot and Event Driven architecture using Kafka RabbitMQ AWS SQS; working with REST JSON XML Web APIs development
- Working with Spring MVC Spring data and Spring Security
- Working with testing frameworks including Cucumber Selenium and Junit; working with mock testing frameworks such as Mockito;
- Working with SQL and Databases such as Oracle AWS Aurora MySQL etc.
- Working knowledge of AgenticAI Models
- Familiarity with AI tools like LLMs GenAI
- Hands on experience with AWS Cloud Services
