Job Description
Overview:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting. This role ensures the efficient operation of machinery and equipment by performing regular maintenance and repairs adhering to safety standards and minimizing downtime.
- Shifts Available: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am
- Shift time alternates every 4 weeks
- Weekend work every other week
Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems equipment and components.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning lubrication and parts replacement.
- Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in machinery and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components such as wiring motors and control systems.
- Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively to minimize production downtime.
- Installation and Upgrades:
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Upgrade existing electrical systems to improve efficiency and safety.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal electrical codes and regulations.
- Participate in safety training and initiatives.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities.
- Report any recurring issues to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
- Suggest improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding maintenance issues and solutions.
$28 - $45 an hour
Compensation range includes base plus OTE.
