Position Description
The Department of Philosophy and Religion invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track position with the title of Assistant Professor of Philosophy beginning August 2026. A successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in philosophy or religious studies in hand by August 2026 with a specialty in Bioethics/Biomedical Ethics. The teaching load is 3/2 with expectations of excellent teaching continued research and university service. The candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory upper-level and graduate courses and will be able to develop new courses consistent with expertise and interests.

Minimum Qualifications
A successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in philosophy or religious studies in hand by August 2026 with a specialty in Bioethics/Biomedical Ethics.

Review of applications begins immediately and the position will remain open until an adequate applicant pool is reached. To ensure consideration for an initial virtual interview a complete application is due by November 15 2025.
