Were seeking someone to join our SPG Lending team as a Lead software Engineer in FICFX. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with a global team. The role provides plenty of opportunities to learn the business with direct exposure to the business exchange the role demands experience engagement and steadfast attention to detail.
In the Technology division we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Software engineering position at Vice President level which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What youll do in the role:
Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
Work in an agile squad to maintain and build the best-in-class Advanced Lending Platform (ALP)
Translate business requirements into efficient and clear technical architecture and implementation
Participate in chapter-wide efforts to address cross-squad needs/concerns.
Modernizing how we store compute and analyze data
Part of your job will be to learn mentor and train other developers
Work with business stakeholders to facilitate the work-intake for the development team
Designing and building high performance systems to support the business

- Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
- Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.
- At least 6 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
12 years of experience in building web-based applications
12 years of experience in Java Spring Boot Rest APIs Microservices
Experience with Test-Driven Development (JUnit Mockito Selenium Integration Tests)
Strong Knowledge in Java 11 Spring
Solid understanding of Relational Databases
Solid understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns
Demonstrable understanding of benchmarking tools and techniques
Experience in working with modern code IDEs such as IntelliJ or VS Code.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and ability to engage directly with business users
