Essential Functions of the Job:
- Provide technical guidance and support to teams on complex issues related to accounting and auditing practices.
- Ensure that services provided meet the firms audit quality standards and comply with relevant statutory regulations and professional guidelines.
- Engaging with clients to understand their audit needs and provide insights on best practices and compliance issues as well as various stakeholders to discuss findings and address any concerns.
- Developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members regarding professional auditing and accounting standards and best practices.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with service delivery including compliance and reputational risks.
- Identifying and assessing financial risks that could impact the organizations financial statements or operational effectiveness. This involves analyzing financial data and understanding the business environment.
- Stay updated on changes in auditing standards regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and enhance audit quality.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in auditing or accounting environment
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting standards
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and drive outcomes
