Job Summary

Please note: This position may be needed through Summer 2026. Positions are available at Canyon HS Canyon Lake HS Davenport HS Smithson Valley HS and Pieper HS.

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the set-up and technical operations for events held at the High School Performing Arts Center

Education / Certification:

Must be a currentCanyon High School student.

Experience / Other Requirements

Technical Theatre Class work or related experience is required.

Special Knowledge / Skills:

Ability to hook up microphones patch and operate levels on soundboard.
Ability to play music through sound system from various components.
Ability to program cues patch and operate the light board.
Ability to manipulate curtains and other back stage headsets etc.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Set up all technical needs prior to the event start.
Monitor patron entrance to the facility to ensure safety and professional demeanor.
Assist with handicapped patrons.
Operate lights/sounds/curtains during the event.
Maintain professional appearance.
Assist with end of event strike.
Assist with any emergency procedures.
Other duties as may be assigned.

None

Equipment Used:
Basic Office equipment (computer copier etc.) Stage Lighting Stage Sound and Communication Equipment.
