High School Security Officer
Attleboro High School
Coverage for Leave of Absense from September through November 2025
Work Hours:6:00am-1:30pm
Job Goal: Provides security in the high school setting.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Ability to de-escalate student to student conflict and student to teacher conflict.
- Friendly comfortable working with high school students.
- Familiarity with email text messaging and data entry.
- Monitors building activity to ensure student safety by walking the building frequently.
- Monitors and enforces parking procedures checks parking identification stickers and parking lots.
- Monitors cafeteria as needed.
- Assists the administration as needed by electronically recording student attendance.
- Stands outside before and after school to oversee students entering and leaving the building; boarding buses; etc.
- De-escalate student to student conflict.
- Assists in student search when applicable.
- Assists teachers on an as-needed basis.
- Assists administrators with emergencies.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Principal.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years experience in security/public safety work
- Training in conflict resolution
- Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate.
Certification/License:
- ALICE (or equivalent) Safety training preferred
- Safety Care (or equivalent) Restraint training preferred
