We are looking for a bookkeeper who can be responsible for several duties related to management if financial records for clients across various sectors and industries including but not limited to the horse racing industry construction retail professional services.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate data entry of payments invoices income and receipts and entering data
- into accounting software (including but not limited to Xero Sage Quickbooks excel)
- Managing client filing databases online then filing hard copies of and where
- appropriate.
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure as clients
- require and liaising with management to help with any mid-year financial planning
- that may be required
- Completing VAT returns in line with submission requirements
- Preparing monthly financial statements including debtors creditors profit and loss
- and balance sheets and discussing these with client where required.
- Helping the Year end team with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
- Calculating preparing and submitting payroll for clients. Communicating any HR
- concerns with the client.
- You may also be required to assist the office manage from time to time with general
- admin and compliance matters as well as answering the telephone to clients during
- busy times.
Requirements
- Experience as a bookkeeper
- Have knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Experience in accounting software (including: sage Xero and QuickBooks mainly) and
- MS Office particularly Excel outlook and word
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

28000 - 35000 per year pro rata
