TCG a HUB International Company manages retirement accounts chiefly for the publicsector. Our clients are mostly school districts who use us to manage the retirement accounts for their employees. TCG is responsible for ensuring that plans comply with federal laws and regulations and our clients hire us to make sure that all of the money moving into and out of these accounts does so in accordance with those federal regulations.

Job purpose:

The purpose of the Bookeeper is to manage daytoday accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QuickBooks online bookkeeping principles excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problemsolving.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank credit card and other financial statements
  • Process payroll and ensure proper tax filings (if applicable)
  • Generate financial reports for internal and external use
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Work closely with CPAs and other finance team members
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems for financial documentation


Work experience:

  • 2 years of bookkeeping experience preferably in a small to midsized business


Education/Licensing:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (certification a plus)


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  • Experience with payroll systems and sales tax filings is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problemsolving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office intermediate to expert user level preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail
  • Team oriented selfstarter with ability to prioritize monitor and control workflow
  • Detail oriented
  • Sense of urgency
  • High degree of independence and problemsolving skill

Working Conditions

Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise dust etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available.
