Where we Work
Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin and international hubs in Australia India Ireland Mexico and Trkiye. This is an in-office position requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday Wednesday Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

Leading a team of engineers as part of the wider Organization Success portfolio of teams that are focused on serving our Enterprise customer needs.
Continuously improving the Enterprise Grade of our B2B platform to be a scalable upskilling solution for our largest customers including many names from the Forbes 500 list who you will get a chance to work with directly.
Building new capabilities that uniquely positions Udemy Business as the top AI-powered upskilling solution in the industry.
What youll be doing
Working with your engineering team along with your cross-functional partners in product design data science product marketing and others to build a roadmap deliver features manage execution and identify areas for development.
Using skills like driving results analytical problem solving systems thinking decision making and active listening to effectively lead engineering teams.
Growing your team their careers and tracking their performance through 1-on-1s and annual reviews.
Working with senior management to strategize resource allocation.
Prioritizing execution of tasks and projects delegating to your technical leads and other team members as appropriate.
Incorporating feedback from your team and managers to continuously improve your teams execution and ability to achieve your teams goals.
Extending your networking skills within and beyond the organization - maintaining key relationships and providing mentoring to your team.
What youll have
1-3 years of experience managing software engineers with a focus on constant flow of feedback and career development
Experience defining strategy roadmaps and prioritising work in your area to deliver business value
Experience working in a highly collaborative environment that involves product managers design and stakeholders
Experience with designing scalable systems with an emphasis on microservices and event-driven architecture
Experience designing scalable secure and performant APIs (REST GraphQL)
Experience with web application development in technologies such as HTTP HTML CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
