POSITION SUMMARY
At CHEO we are committed to making a difference in the lives of children youth and families by providing exceptional care and services. We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill a key role in the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Communications the Communications Specialist Internal Communications will contribute to internal corporate projects that support CHEOs vision of the best life for every child and youth.
The Communications Specialist Internal Communications will develop and execute communications plans to enhance and support hospital operations and employee engagement. This individual is a seasoned communications professional with proven experience in delivering impactful internal strategies. A creative storyteller and content creator the Communications Specialist Internal Communications is a strong multitasker and innovator to achieve the goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop internal communications strategies and tactics to create awareness and engagement with CHEOs internal stakeholders;
Review or create various communications material for internal audiences ensuring overarching narrative and brand alignment.
Develop and foster strong relationships with internal teams and departments;
Deliver compelling storytelling for CHEOs internal audiences;
Leads and supports effective internal communications tools such as intranet and internal platforms creative internal campaigns and more;
Provide communications advice and guidance to leadership and staff as required.
Work collaboratively with peers at CHEO Research Institute and CHEO Foundation to collaborate and align on behalf of the CHEO brand for maximum impact and effectiveness.
Promote and carry out best practices in communications with a commitment to continuous improvement across CHEO.
Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Police Record Check (PRC) (Essential)
Formal education in communications or related field or equivalent experience (Essential)
3-5 years of experience in the field of internal communications (Essential)
Experience writing and executing internal communications plans (Essential)
Experience in developing communications products across a variety of channels and formats (Essential)
Exceptional verbal and written skills; (Essential)
Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to set and manage priorities meet deadlines and work autonomously (Essential)
Deal effectively with internal and external customers (Essential)
Bilingual in English and French (Preferred).
Timeline may be extended or shortened based on operational needs
Effective March 29 2021 CHEO will conduct a more comprehensive pre-screening and evaluation process. This process may include more varied and multidimensional testing such as a written test practical exam or other assessment. All candidates who meet the essential and preferred qualifications may be tested.
Bilingualism (French/English) will be validated by a language proficiency assessment conducted by a third party provider. Candidates will be required to meet the minimum linguistic profile prior to the date of hire.

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITS
laborer des stratgies et des tactiques de communication internes afin de sensibiliser et de mobiliser les intervenants internes de CHEO;
Rviser ou crer divers supports de communication destins un public interne en veillant la cohrence de la narration et lalignement de limage de marque.
Dvelopper et entretenir des relations solides avec les quipes et les services internes;
Produire des rcits convaincants pour le public interne de CHEO;
Diriger et promouvoir des outils de communication interne efficaces comme lintranet et les plates-formes internes ainsi que les campagnes internes cratives entre autres;
Fournir des conseils et des orientations en matire de communication aux cadres et au personnel au besoin.
Travailler en collaboration avec des pairs de lInstitut de recherche de CHEO et de la Fondation CHEO afin de collaborer et de sharmoniser au nom de la marque CHEO pour obtenir une incidence et une efficacit maximales.
Promouvoir et mettre en uvre les pratiques exemplaires en matire de communications avec un engagement lgard de lamlioration continue dans lensemble de CHEO.
Effectuer des tches connexes le cas chant.
QUALIFICATIONS
Vrification du casier judiciaire (VCJ) (essentiel) ducation formelle dans les communications ou dans des domaines connexes ou exprience quivalente (essentiel)
5 7 ans dexprience dans le domaine des communications internes (essentiel)
Exprience dans la rdaction et la mise en uvre de plans de communication interne (essentiel)
Exprience de llaboration de produits de communication par lentremise de divers rseaux et formats (essentiel)
Comptences exceptionnelles en communications verbales et crites (essentiel)
