Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking a Principal PEGA software developer! This role involves designing and developing innovative applications using the PEGA platform to support BlueCrosss mission of inspiring change transforming care and improving health for the people they serve. The ideal candidate will have experience with PEGA development within the healthcare industryand a strong understanding of application development delivery.
A Day in the Life
Act as lead developer for PEGA applications including designing coding and developing.
Work collaboratively on a scrum team with a scrum master product owner analysts other developers and testers to iteratively deliver functional code to production.
Provide technical leadership for PEGA applications to ensure usability usefulness feasibility and cost effectiveness.
Work with analysts and customers to establish PEGA applications requirements.
Contribute innovative solutions while utilizing best practices design standards and governance.
Research technology trends and contribute to designs and technology application decisions.
Collaborate with technology leaders and architecture to develop application roadmap.
Mentor lead and train other developers.
Required Skills and Experiences
7 years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work education transferable skills and military experience will be considered.
Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g. AWS Cloud Practitioner Azure Fundamentals etc.) within 1 year of employment.
Essential Candidate Qualities:
Creative thinking strong communication skills creativity curiosity self-motivated time managements skills.
In depth experience with and knowledge of the following: Pega PCRC JavaREST OOP HTML SQL Database and AWS
Preferred Skills and Experience
Bachelors Degree.
Development experience using PEGA.
Strong preference for candidates withhealthcare industry experience.
Experience with agile DevOps IT Service Management and other development and support processes and methodologies.
Role Designation
TeleworkerRole designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a minimum of 2 days onsite. Onsite is full-time onsite.
Compensation and Benefits
$115000.00 - $155300.00 - $195600.00 AnnualPay is based on several factors which vary based on position including skills ability and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
