This position receives direction and guidance from the Deputy Director/Director. The purpose of this position is to develop and recommend to the Deputy Director and Director procedures objectives and fiscal processes pertaining to the preparation and execution of the organizational budget. This includes tracking and reporting all expenditures. This position also requests Cadet weekly allowance; processes staff meal payments; requests and manages petty cash; reconciles fuel card receipts in NCAS; reviews account detail transaction reports and processes monthly vouchers. Attend quarterly cooperative agreement budget meetings hosted by the Grantor. Must be familiar with computer software and programs used to perform the work. Be able to solve moderately complex problems and implement process improvements. This position also handles various personnel administration tasks for the Academy. These tasks include receiving applications; setting up employment interviews; preparing contracts and new hire packets; completing e-Verify on new employees and maintaining employee records. Oversee staff/cadre compliance with DPS/TCA personnel policies. Complete documentation required to update changes reported by employees. Attend job fairs and hiring events to bring awareness of TCA to potential employees. Periodically visit local military base transition centers to establish rapport with counselors.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) withState Benefits.

The salary grade for this position is NC09. State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as or lower than their current position. If selected for this position a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience funding availability and internal equity. Based upon these factors a pay increase MAY result.
