Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time dedicated Neonatologist to join their esteemed group of 10 neonatologists and 5 neonatal nurse practitioners serving as either the NICU Medical Director or Associate Medical Director at their regional perinatal center in beautiful Roanoke VAwhere you can practice advanced neonatology medicine while embracing a vibrant small-town lifestyle in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Provide expert neonatal care at Carilion Clinic Childrens Hospital (60-bed regional perinatal center) and Lewis Gale Medical Center (6-bed Level 2 NICU).
Manage and lead NICU operations as Medical Director or participate as Associate Medical Director ensuring high-quality clinical care and operational excellence.
Oversee advanced NICU services including high-frequency ventilation whole body cooling and nitric oxide therapy.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialists pediatric surgeons and neonatology team members.
Support medical education by working with Virginia Tech School of Medicine students and residents (pediatric and family practice).
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in research projects within the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative.
Provide clinical coverage including day shifts on-call and weekend duties as needed.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in leadership meetings and committees.
This is a permanent full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
