EnglishConnect is a program provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to
help individuals improve their English skills in an environment of faith fellowship and
growth. We strive to provide accessible and effective English language education that
empowers learners to achieve their personal and professional goals.


Position Overview


EnglishConnect is seeking a creative and motivated Video Production Student Employee to
join our team for Fall 2025. This role is ideal for a student passionate about visual
storytelling media production and education. The student will support the design
storyboarding and production of videos that enhance the learning experience for a global
audience.

This part-time position typically works (Monday Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm). This position is a hybrid position.

By applying for this position you are indicating that you are currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship are willing to physically reside and perform the work in Utah and are willing to come into the BYU-Pathway Worldwide headquarters in Salt Lake City once a month.

Storyboard Videos: Develop visual outlines for educational and promotional
content.

Video Editing: Create rough cuts and finalize videos using professional editing
software.

Production Support: Assist with filming and shooting when needed including basic
camera lighting and sound setup.

Creative Collaboration: Work with the EnglishConnect team to brainstorm and
refine engaging video concepts.

Organization: Manage project files media assets and deadlines to ensure quality
and consistency.



Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements


Must be a current student at Brigham Young University (BYU) BYUIdaho or Ensign
College.

Must reside in Utah or Idaho and attend monthly in-person meetings in Salt Lake
City.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications


Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Film Production
Digital Media Communications or a related field.

Proficiency with video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro).

Familiarity with filming techniques including lighting and sound.

Strong creative storytelling and visual communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
