We are looking for a R&T Aircraft Architect to come onboard in our Engineering Integration & Chief Engineering Directorate in Giovannas Future Projects and R&T team: a team of 10 collaborators!

Your Mission

As part of the Future Projects and R&T team within the Engineering Integration & Chief Engineering directorate You will play a key role within the Research and Technologies (R&T) projects that ATR is leading acting as the coordinator for managing and steering some key aspects of the engineering development validation and verification strategy.

  • Project technical management

The Aircraft Architect will have the responsibility of integrating main disciplines on major R&T projects encompassing propulsion electrical systems avionics structure flight physics with the final aim of ground and/or flight full scale effective testing campaign. Reporting to the Chief engineer of the project will deputize the role on certain subjects ensuring that all the disciplines are working consistently each other identifying and tackling timely any deviation/risk in terms of planning requirement compliance safety and performance objectives. The R&T Aircraft Architect will be then the responsible of the Aircraft Technical Configuration translating in the Technical Baseline description of the project or the aircraft demonstrator when applicable.

  • Requirements and V&V management

For a given project the R&T Aircraft Architect will be the responsible person for identifying allocating and managing the top level project requirements along with the definition of the V&V strategy at aircraft level defining and maintaining (in conjunction with the Centers of Competences) a V&V plan throughout the project ensuring that the test campaigns will match the objectives of the project (and the ones from European or National public entities wherever applicable) while optimizing the engineering and tests team effort.

  • Aircraft demonstrator roadbook Flight test work packages

Whenever the project requires to deploy flight testing the R&T Aircraft Architect will be the responsible to support the Flight test department in defining the demonstrator roadbook ensuring that working parties aircraft configuration steps are in line with V&V plan and ultimately with the goals of the projects.

About you

  • Field of study in engineering
  • Experience :
    • Minimum of 8 years in aircraft manufacturers design office organizations
    • Proven track record in aircraft complex developments
    • Project management expertise: Ability to oversee projects from conception through completion.
  • Experience and knowledge of requirement management informatic tool is a plus (e.g.: Doors-NG Flow engineering).
  • Crisis management: able to remain composed under pressured and coordinate high-visibility issues with strong autonomy.
  • Project leadership: Structure and rigorous you know how to bring a transversal initiative to completion and secure alignment across departments.
  • Communication: be able to simplify complex issues for a variety of audiences. Ability to find the right compromise between stakeholders and to prevent and/or treat conflicts. Capability to deliver message in unbiased manner. Capability to report to top management.
  • Problem solving: Ability to swiftly identify problems understand their root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and a passion for implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Adaptability and Autonomy: High adaptability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with the autonomy and initiative to lead critical projects streams independently. Able to make tough decisions with no bias from external and internal pressures.
  • Fluent in English and French (Italian is a plus)

Votre mission

Dans le cadre de lquipe Future Projects and R&T au sein de la direction Engineering Integration & Chief Engineering vous jouerez un rle cl dans les projets de Recherche et Technologies (R&T) pilots par ATR en tant que coordinateur(trice) charg(e) de grer et de piloter certains aspects essentiels de la stratgie de dveloppement de validation et de vrification technique.

Gestion technique de projet

LArchitecte Avion aura la responsabilit dintgrer les principales disciplines sur des projets R&T majeurs incluant la propulsion les systmes lectriques lavionique la structure la physique du vol avec pour objectif final la ralisation de campagnes dessais chelle relle au sol et/ou en vol. Relevant du Chief Engineer du projet il/elle pourra le reprsenter sur certains sujets en veillant la cohrence entre les disciplines en identifiant et en traitant rapidement toute drive ou risque en termes de planning de conformit aux exigences de scurit et dobjectifs de performance. LArchitecte Avion R&T sera ainsi responsable de la configuration technique de lavion traduite dans la description de la base technique du projet ou du dmonstrateur avion lorsque cela est applicable.

Gestion des exigences et de la stratgie V&V

Pour un projet donn lArchitecte Avion R&T sera responsable de lidentification de lallocation et de la gestion des exigences de haut niveau du projet ainsi que de la dfinition de la stratgie de validation et de vrification (V&V) au niveau avion. Il/elle dfinira et maintiendra en collaboration avec les Centres de Comptences un plan V&V tout au long du projet garantissant que les campagnes dessais rpondent aux objectifs du projet (et ceux des entits publiques europennes ou nationales le cas chant) tout en optimisant les efforts des quipes dingnierie et dessais.

Roadbook du dmonstrateur avion Lots de travaux essais en vol

Lorsque le projet ncessite des essais en vol lArchitecte Avion R&T sera responsable du support au dpartement essais en vol pour la dfinition du roadbook du dmonstrateur en sassurant que les lots de travaux et les tapes de configuration de lavion sont aligns avec le plan V&V et in fine avec les objectifs du projet.

  • Domaine dtudes dingnieur avec spcialisation en aronautique ou quivalent
  • Solides comptences en arodynamique performances en vol architecture avion et intgration des systmes
  • Exprience :
    • Minimum de 8 ans au sein dun bureau dtudes chez un constructeur aronautique
    • Exprience avre dans le dveloppement de projets complexes davions
    • Expertise en gestion de projet : capacit superviser des projets depuis leur conception jusqu leur ralisation
  • La connaissance doutils informatiques de gestion des exigences est un plus (ex. : Doors-NG Flow Engineering)
  • Gestion de crise: capacit rester calme sous pression et coordonner des sujets sensibles avec une forte autonomie
  • Leadership de projet: structur(e) et rigoureux(se) vous savez mener bien des initiatives transverses et garantir lalignement entre les dpartements
  • Communication: aptitude vulgariser des sujets complexes pour diffrents publics. Capacit trouver les bons compromis entre les parties prenantes et prvenir ou rsoudre les conflits. Capacit transmettre des messages de manire objective et faire des reporting auprs de la direction
  • Rsolution de problmes: capacit identifier rapidement les problmes en comprendre les causes profondes et mettre en uvre des solutions efficaces
  • Esprit damlioration continue: approche proactive pour identifier les inefficacits et passion pour la mise en uvre de solutions innovantes visant amliorer lefficacit oprationnelle
  • Adaptabilit et autonomie: grande capacit dadaptation pour grer plusieurs priorits dans un environnement dynamique avec lautonomie et linitiative ncessaires pour piloter des volets critiques de projets. Capacit prendre des dcisions difficiles sans influence externe ou interne
  • Matrise de langlais et du franais (litalien est un plus)
