Tasks
To be responsible for the installation of mains and services to required standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain own and others health and safety
- Carry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles plant equipment and sites as instructed
- Ensure that work is undertaken with due regard to the environment: prevent contamination to water supplies and water courses; maintain site cleanliness; prevent spills; minimise disturbance to members of the public; avoid damage to trees; dispose of waste only as authorised.
- Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatus
- Manhandle materials plant and equipment
- Install pipes and fittings to the appropriate standards.
- Drive Company vehicles with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and other road users for authorised business purposes
- Operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes
- Maintain site vehicle plant and equipment tidiness and security
- Install and maintain road works to Chapter 8 standard
- Assist members of the public clients representatives and other officials in relation to Company business
- Maintain safety environmental and quality records
- Report any accidents near misses faults damages or defects using appropriate documentation
- Undertake any other reasonable instructions given by management or supervision
Requirements
- NRSWA (Units 1-3 minimum)
- CSCS card
- Cat & Genny
- 360 operators ticket
- Dumper operators ticket
- Current clean driving licence
