Job Summary (List Format):
- Conducts raw material evaluations to identify potential replacements and improve quality.
- Prepares laboratory batches and participates in product testing for approval by automotive OEM customers.
- Executes specific material improvement projects as assigned.
- Designs and conducts controlled experiments to support product development.
- Participates in pilot and plant-scale production runs for new or improved products.
- Provides assistance to other departments within the company as needed.
- Utilizes laboratory equipment such as mixers presses ovens test panels tensile testers and environmental chambers.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
- Requires a degree in Chemistry or Material Science (Bachelors with 3 years relevant experience or Associates with 5 years) preferably with a background in rubber plastics compounding or coatings industries.
