Vice President for Finance and Administration Coe College is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as Vice President for Finance & Administration (VPFA) a pivotal role that shapes the financial health operational excellence and long-term sustainability of our institution. As a key member of the senior leadership team the VPFA partners closely with the President and other campus leaders to steward the Colleges financial resources oversee capital and infrastructure planning and manage a diverse portfolio of administrative functions. The VPFAs leadership spans finance and business affairs human resources campus safety and security risk management auxiliary services sustainability initiatives and institutional contracts. Your Leadership Impact The VPFA will: - Serve as chief financial strategist advising the President Board of Trustees and campus leadership on fiscal policy long-term planning and resource allocation.
- Lead a talented team including the Controller Director of Physical Plant Director of Human Resources Director of Safety and Security and Sodexo Management.
- Oversee budget development financial forecasting compliance and investment strategies to maximize the Colleges financial strength.
- Champion operational excellence by enhancing facilities optimizing contracts and improving the student experience through high-quality campus services.
- Drive sustainability and revenue diversification efforts including auxiliary income streams partnerships and community engagement.
- Ensure risk management internal controls and compliance measures are robust transparent and mission-aligned.
- Foster a collaborative trust-based culture across departments emphasizing clear communication and a shared commitment to Coes values.
Key PrioritiesFinancial Leadership - Design and implement forward-thinking financial models that support the Colleges mission.
- Provide accurate timely financial reporting for leadership and governance bodies.
- Oversee treasury operations investment management and debt strategy.
Budgets Contracts & Facilities - Lead the development of multi-year financial and facilities plans.
- Manage vendor relationships capital projects and operational budgets.
- Enhance campus facilities and dining services to enrich student life.
Risk Management Partnerships & Sustainability - Guide insurance compliance and institutional risk strategies.
- Collaborate with faculty staff and student leaders to advance sustainable practices.
- Cultivate partnerships that expand Coes reach and resources.
QualificationsRequired: - Masters degree in accounting finance business or a related field.
- 510 years of progressively responsible leadership in finance/administration ideally in higher education or non-profit.
- Expertise in budget administration financial analysis capital planning and compliance.
Preferred: - Experience on a Presidents/CEOs executive team.
- Strong collaborative leadership style with exceptional communication skills.
- Experience in facilities management and auxiliary revenue generation.
