Job Description

POSITION SPECIFICS

The Penn State Psychological Clinic is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist to provide various clinical services in a dynamic training and community mental health environment as part of Penn States top-rated clinical psychology doctoral training program.

The clinic is among the largest associated with a doctoral training program in the United States and serves a dual purpose as the training and research site for the Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology and a large community mental health center.

The Psychological Clinic located on Penn States University Park Campus provides psychological and psychiatric outpatient treatment and psychological and neuropsychological assessment for adults families adolescents and children as well as school- and community-based intervention programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Staff Psychologist will also provide clinical resident instruction for the Psychology Training Program and Psychological Clinic. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

The Staff Psychologist is expected to perform all services according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care using evidence-based treatment approaches.

Qualifications:

Experience with conducting assessments and providing evidence-based treatment is required; experience with any of the following is preferred: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Parent Management Training (PMT) Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Doctor of Philosophy (PHD) or Doctor of Psychology (PSYD) 3 years of relevant experience Required Certifications: Licensed Psychologist - Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology

Those who are eligible to become a Licensed Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (must be licensed within 18 months of hire) will also be considered. Applicants must also have completed a 1 year full-time pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology.

The clinical staff at the Psychological Clinic is supported by a strong administrative team and consists of a highly trained multidisciplinary team of clinical faculty psychologists psychiatric providers doctoral trainees social workers and professional counselors where ongoing collaboration and consultation is strongly encouraged.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position including all possible grades is $68200.00 - $102300.00.
