Job Description
- Plan and supervise practices and competitions.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles practices and safety associated with directing a competitive college dance team.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the techniques fundamentals and best practices associated with coaching a competitive college dance team.
- Recruit prospective student-athletes that have inquired about attending Coe College and participating in the varsity dance team.
- Manage assigned budgets.
- Secure and maintain equipment and uniforms/costumes.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Previous competitive dance team coaching/directing experience preferred.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
- Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Coe College policy.
- Ability to work harmoniously with coaches of other sports teams athletic staff members faculty members and college administrators.
- Exhibit exemplary personal conduct and character traits
- Serve as a role model for student athletes
- Dedication to the educational mission of a private residential liberal arts college.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships in a collaborative and diverse team atmosphere.
- Commitment to excellent customer and/or student service.
- Demonstrated ethical and responsible decision making.
- Consistent attendance and accountability necessary to meet position objectives.
- Weekend and Evening hours required
- Travel required
- Occasional lift push pull up to 50 lbs
- Frequent twist bend stoop and climb
