We are looking for an Intern to join the Franklin Income Investors team based in Singapore. This role will assist the team in the commercial success growth and retention of client assets for the Income Strategies suite globally with a focus on the APAC region. The full time Internship will last for 25-35 weeks for the period December 2025 to August 2026.
Primary responsibilities include developing investment content for sales and marketing purposes; promoting competitively positioning and defending the Income product/business line; providing market research and competitor analysis on the Income landscape; and acting as a specialized internal source of product and market knowledge.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position
Investment Content Creation
Assist the team with the creation of marketing materials videos social media and maintenance of investment client presentations by gathering data and information from internal and external resources
Assist the team with the articulation of the Income investment capability and creation of product/ business line messaging
Provide product information to internal business partners and others responsible for producing and delivering investment content to internal and external audiences
Distribution and Client Servicing Support
Respond to portfolio inquiries from sales and clients including requests for market economic fund positioning investment holdings competitor analysis and performance attribution
Answer general investment strategy questions from sales and clients independently or draft answers for review by the team
Act as an internal resource on cross-functional projects including product updates new product implementation and client onboarding
Development and Market Research Analysis
Assist the team with identifying/researching product opportunities through industry and market research analysis of channel and regional growth trends flow trends competitor market share and growth rates
Identify and collect appropriate resources to research and analyze all aspects of competitor products performance fees and competitive industry landscape
What qualifications skills and experience would help someone to be successful
Final year University students/Postgraduate students with an excellent academic track record
Keen interest in developing a career in financial services
The ability to conduct financial analysis / financial research and analyze data
Demonstrates basic knowledge of the investment management industry and products
Experience with digital marketing (preferred) knowledge of social media tools and concepts and the ability to gather market intelligence and produce content.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders
