Strategy Manager Nonprofit Hybrid

Wonderful opportunity to make your mark in newly created Strategy Manager role for well-regarded philanthropic organization with a deep passion for social change equity innovation and impact. This is a hybrid role with 2 days onsite.

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer you will lead the Strategy Team in developing and implementing high-impact strategies to advance the mission and vision of this organization. Managing two Strategy Analysts collaborating with the Chief Strategy Officer and working with social sector leaders and philanthropists to address the most significant challenges in the region you will be responsible for overseeing research data analysis and the development of concrete solutions as well as effectively communicating findings to both the team and potential donors.

With meticulous attention to detail and a learning mindset you are relationship focused results oriented and highly collaborative. You have a strong passion and deep commitment to philanthropy the nonprofit sector social change and equity. You bring 5 years strategy consulting experience with 2 years experience managing or leading a team.

You will:

  • Develop high-quality philanthropy strategies that meet donors standards of rigor quality and polish.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects driving structured problem solving and storytelling and supporting junior staff to deliver high-quality work on time.

  • Manage internal and donor team meetings effectively; present findings to senior leaders in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Manage and mentor two Strategy Analysts providing guidance on research data analysis and project execution.

  • Oversee the research and evaluation of various philanthropic strategies and opportunities assessing their potential benefits costs and risks through an inclusive lens.

  • Direct the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data ensuring rigorous quality control and the modeling of quantitative data and scenarios where applicable.

  • Synthesize all findings into actionable recommendations and ensure they are communicated clearly to the internal team interested parties and potential donors.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as delegated by the Chief Strategy Officer.

You have:

  • 5 years of experience in strategy consulting or similar client services-based roles.

  • Demonstrated experience of 2 years of managing or leading a team of analysts preferably in a client service environment.

  • Proven track record of leading teams to drive impact and meaningful change.

  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative problem-solving techniques.

  • Strong work ethic self-motivation and the ability to take initiative.

  • Genuine interest in philanthropy equity and social issues including climate housing and homelessness and justice with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.

  • Strong writing editing and proofreading skills coupled with the ability to gather and organize information effectively.

  • High degree of professionalism judgment and flexibility enabling effective collaboration with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in and lead a team environment.

  • Strong commitment to personal and professional integrity and high ethical standards.
