Leidos Corporate Legal Department is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join ourteam at our Reston VA headquarters. We are looking for an Attorney experienced in managing and handling global regulatory compliance matters to include international anti-corruption compliance. The Lead Attorney for Global Regulatory Compliance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our compliance programs related to Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) antitrust laws anti-human trafficking in supply chains and other relevant regulatory issues. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in global regulatory laws and the ability to manage and advise on complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions. Additionally the Lead Attorney will oversee the enterprise risk management program and manage a team of compliance professionals.
The position will report to the Global Chief Compliance Officer Senior Vice President & Deputy General Counsel and work closely with various members of the legal global trade contracts ethics and compliance procurement internal audit and accounting/finance departments as well as various line organization functions and personnel focused on international business.
This position has partial telecommute flexibility but you must live in DC Metro area for regular visits to Reston - VA headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Handle oversee and manage due diligence reviews and assessments of international business opportunities and activities and the retention and supervision of third parties to support international business to ensure compliance with international anti-corruption laws and regulations.
- Manage and lead a team of legal and compliance professionals ensuring their continuous development and alignment with global compliance objectives.
- Develop implement and oversee global compliance programs related to ABAC antitrust anti-human trafficking in supply chains and other regulatory frameworks to ensure adherence to international and local laws.
- Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to senior management and stakeholders on compliance issues and potential risks associated with global operations.
- Oversee the enterprise risk management (ERM) program by identifying strategic and operational risks developing risk assessment models and working with relevant departments to mitigate identified risks.
- Draft and revise company policies and procedures to ensure they align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage conduct and/or assist with various internal and external legal investigations and related ethics and compliance matters.
- Assist in company audits as may be required.
- Conduct International Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption training.
- Assist in maintaining the currency of corporate policies and procedures.
- Conduct self-assessments.
- Advise on all aspects of government and commercial contracts law formation and performance.
- Interact with other attorneys and internal clients on various legal counseling activities.
Required Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of a US state bar.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience (in-house law firm etc.) in legal field including prior experience in international regulatory compliance matters
- In-depth understanding of International Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption compliance and enforcement matters for multinational companies particularly those operating in aerospace defense services life sciences and technology.
- In-depth understanding of FCPA books and records and internal controls requirements.
- Experience with third party due diligence requirements and prevailing due diligence standards; third party and transactional red flag identification and mitigation; compliance program design drafting modifications to policies and procedures and periodic reviews/assessments; gift and hospitality reviews; development and implementation of training.
- Experience with conducting internal investigations into allegations of misconduct.
- Familiarity with UK Bribery Act.
- Qualified candidates should be US Citizens with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience at a government agency government contractor or in a government contracts private practice group.
- Experience working directly with clients including in-house counsel and business personnel.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $148850.00 - $269075.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
