Overview
CHI Carrington Health now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health have a variety of skills from clinical to project our Critical Access Hospital you will be exposed to the emergency department acute care (Med/Surg) swing bed surgery outpatient treatment and so much more!
Responsibilities
Working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at our Critical Access Hospital youll perform a wide range of technical procedures analyzing blood and various body fluids in order to expedite the physicians diagnosis and treatment of patients. Youll assist with quality audits in accordance with accrediting agencies.
Technical duties will include routine patient testing phlebotomy complex red cell antibody identification and preparation of blood components for transfusion.

Work involves confidential patient diagnosis and test results requiring the employee to respect the patients right to confidentiality. Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains a service orientation in performing duties with fellow employees patients medical staff and visitors.
- Has operational responsibility for the clinical/technical aspects of a section of the laboratory.
- Performs job duties of Medical Technologist; performing a variety of chemical microscopic and bacteriologic procedures of a moderately and highly complex nature following established standards and practices to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.
- Licensed Med Tech in the state of North Dakota.
- Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory
Preferred:
- MLS (ASCP) or equivalent: Med Tech (Medical Tech) Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) Medical Lab Technologist (MLT).
