This position will be based out of a facility in Northwest Arkansas or NE Oklahoma. Will make home hospice nursing visits as needed and in rotation with other teammates. Hospice nursing provides a meaningful connection with patients and families. Our nurses take their time and have incredible amounts of 1:1 time to coach and educate patients and families in our addition to a wonderful culture and nursing experience this position offers night differential mileage reimbursement and amazing benefits package!
General Description: The RN is an integral part of the hospice interdisciplinary care team and as such is responsible for providing patient care visits assessing medical needs liaising with physicians attending deaths triage calls and assisting with the admission process. The RN must have an understanding that hospice care must be delivered according to accepted standards of practice guided by the mission of the organization and the patient/familys needs and concerns the RN blends all services of the hospice into an integrated program of support. May be required to fulfill RN On Call duties as needed.
Requirements: Current unrestricted AR OK or compact RN license BLS certification strong assessment skills with critical thinking and high level of problem solving within a healthcare facility. Strong documentation and communication with the ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering/emergencies. Prefer hospice experience home health or acute care nursing experience with computer charting experience.
Position requires use of personal vehicle a valid drivers license and current auto insurance.
