Introduction:

As a Staff Program Manager within the Transplant Diagnostics division you will play a pivotal role in managing projects that drive product development and commercialization. This high-visibility position demands effective leadership across multiple tasks and teams requiring a collaborative attitude focus on deliverables and excellent interpersonal skills. You will ensure teams adhere to best practices manage risks and deliver value to the business.

Through your work you will contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals facing transplantation while supporting Thermo Fisher Scientifics mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead core project teams conduct regular project meetings capture action items supervise assigned deliverables and provide updates and reports to senior leadership.
  • Guide the development validation and implementation of assays aligning them with market needs regulatory guidelines and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with R&D Manufacturing Sciences Quality Regulatory Clinical Affairs and Commercial to define project deliverables. Identify potential risks and issues and develop effective mitigation strategies to maintain compliance product quality and project execution.
  • Maintain clear communication lines across all teams providing regular updates on project status and achievements while resolving barriers to execution to ensure timely completion.
  • Proactively manage complex issues in a dynamic cross-functional environment to support business priorities.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences; advanced degree (MS MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of project management experience in the life sciences medical device and clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience developing RUO and IVD assays including clinical study performance preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus; Six Sigma certification highly desirable.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated excellence in project management including timeline adherence deliverable tracking and proactive risk management.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across matrixed organizations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication presentation and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail commitment to quality and ability to contribute positively to team culture.
  • Self-motivated curious and proactive with the ability to be highly resourceful.
