We are looking for an experienced Senior Lawyer with expertise in Online Gaming compliance and licensing across various jurisdictions. This role requires a professional skilled in preparing and managing legal documents advising on compliance matters and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison for legal audits and work closely with internal teams to integrate compliance controls. A strong background in Online Gaming or international law is essential.
What would be your main responsibilities
- Ensuring the companys adherence to all applicable Online Gaming regulations laws and licensing requirements in various jurisdictions.
- Preparing reviewing and submitting documentation for obtaining and renewing Online Gaming licenses.
- Keeping up to date with any changes in Online Gaming laws and regulations as well as understanding their potential impact on the companys operations.
- Developing implementing and managing internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all legal and regulatory inquiries audits and inspections from gaming authorities and regulators.
- Providing legal advice and guidance on compliance matters to the companys management team and other departments.
- Conducting internal and external compliance audits and investigations as well as managing any necessary corrective actions.
- Working closely with other departments (like Risk and Compliance) to ensure the integration of compliance controls into daily operations.
What are we looking for
- At least 3 years of experience as a lawyer/legal counsel
- Experience in Online Gaming or in a big international law firm/private equity advisory firm will be considered an advantage.
- Good command of the English language written and spoken (other language/s would be an advantage)
- Good knowledge of corporate and commercial law
- Experience working with international licensing bodies in terms of obtaining Online Gaming/EMI/Banking licenses will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with the legal frameworks of foreign jurisdictions (such as Malta IOM UK) will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in managing legal entities and company secretarial duties preferred either directly or through vendors: tasks include formation dissolution corporate records review annual compliance oversight director/officer resolutions and handling corporate transactions related to entities.
- Multitasking analytical thinking and the ability to work with a large amount of information.
