We build data products develop data & analytics platforms for the Private Commercial and Claims business areas. We are responsible for data lake data warehouse analytics and business intelligence solutions. Our overall data platform is a cornerstone in Ifs data strategy and we work according to agile development principles with product owners and scrum teams. You will be joining a unit with more than 85 enthusiastic developers engineers architects and managers. Our squads are mostly located at the If offices in Turku Espoo Stockholm Oslo Copenhagen and Riga. You will be working in a squad inside the Data and Analytics unit.
About the role
We are looking for 2 data engineers with deep specializations.
As engineering scrum master you will take on Scrum Master responsibilities in one of our squads working with building data pipelines. You provide guidance to the squad on agile methodology and challenge the squad in continuous improvements to reach higher performance levels fostering values such as simplification customer focus and speed.
As data management engineer you focus on operationalizing our data management practices automating areas such as metadata management data quality regulatory compliance access management and data governance. You play a vital role in adopting distributed data architecture with strong data governance.
Regardless of specialization you build maintain and monitor state-of-the-art cloud-based analytics solutions. You collaborate with data engineers and data scientists on building production-ready solutions and defining best practices. You also contribute to defining data & analytics target architecture and roadmap. You secure good relations with internal customers and other stakeholders.

Who are you
For engineering scrum master we are looking for someone with experience from scrum master role preferably in engineering teams. You are demonstrating a deep understanding of the developer experience and how strong engineering practises can bring value to a team. Experience with programming languages like SQL Python (C#) is beneficial as well as familiarity with modern cloud-based data and analytics solutions.
For data management engineer we are looking for someone with solid grasp of data governance and management principles including data quality access controls and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR). We expect experience in automating governance processes (policies access controls metadata lineage) within the Azure and Databricks ecosystem (Microsoft Fabric is a plus). You should be ready to drive adoption of data standards promote data catalogue usage and embed governance in day-to-day delivery.
It is a plus for both specializations if you have previous experience in developing deploying and owning batch and real-time data pipelines preferably using Databricks Data Factory and dbt. Experience with CI/CD and ADO pipelines is appreciated. If you have previous experience with resource deployment using Terraform PowerShell Bash you are of extra interest to us!
You should be fluent in English and proficiency in one of the Nordic languages is considered beneficial. You also possess good communication skills.
