Electrical Engineer Permanent Position Location: Cape Town Salary: R50000
The Electrical Engineer will support the planning design installation and maintenance of electrical systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. The role focuses on technical execution and quality assurance of electrical engineering tasks across projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Electrical Department including supervision mentorship and development of team members
Plan coordinate and oversee electrical installations maintenance and upgrades
Design control panels based on process descriptions and cable layouts
Prepare electrical drawings and schedules
Ensure compliance with OHSA SANS standards and company policies
Maintain accurate records and generate performance and compliance reports
Manage maintenance and asset tracking of electrical tools and systems
Promote and enforce workplace health safety and risk management
Collaborate across departments to ensure project alignment
Drive innovation energy efficiency and continuous improvement
Oversee departmental budgets resource planning and procurement
Requirements
BSc or BEng in Electrical Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years relevant electrical engineering experience (including design installation commissioning and maintenance).
Registered as an Installation Electrician (Wireman s License).
Construction and commissioning site experience.
Proficiency in PLCs HMIs VSDs Soft Starters and automation systems.
Experience in control panel and MCC design & manufacturing (beneficial).
