Job Title: Data Analyst / Data Quality Specialist
Location: Jersey City NJ (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled professional to join our data team as a Data Analyst with a focus on Data Governance and Data Quality. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data profiling cleansing and validation along with strong SQL and Python skills. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy consistency and reliability of enterprise data assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data profiling to assess data quality and identify anomalies inconsistencies and gaps.
- Strong experience with Sql DWH and DBMS
- Develop and implement data cleansing strategies to improve data accuracy and usability.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data quality rules and standards.
- Knowledge of Data reconciliation integration testing and regression testing
- Support data governance initiatives by maintaining metadata data lineage and data dictionaries.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract transform and analyze data from various sources.
- Use Python for data manipulation automation and building reusable data quality scripts.
- Monitor and report on data quality metrics and KPIs.
- Document processes workflows and best practices related to data quality and governance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
- Insurance knowledge is good to have
