Ravenswood is the home to our headquarters in Chicago Illinois. We take pride in having a friendly open office life that is relaxed and honest. We truly want you to come to work as your whole self. As a flexible-first organization this role requires the Data Associate to be onsite at the office two-three days a week. .
About the Role
As a Data Associate youll be the go-to expert for our clients most complex data challenges. Working as part of our client-facing Data Strategy Group within the larger Data Analytics Team youll help clients navigate tricky data situations and make sure theyre getting maximum value from our platform. Youll be solving puzzles building solutions and making the seemingly impossible look effortless all while helping our clients achieve incredible results with their data.
This is a fast-paced role where every day brings new challenges but if youre someone who gets energized by problem-solving and loves seeing your work directly impact client success youll thrive here. Youll also be part of an on-call rotation for periodic after-hours and weekend support which happens about one week every two months.
The impact youll make:
Master Complex Data Migrations: Youll strategize and execute large-scale data imports and legacy platform migrations making the complex simple and ensuring our clients data transitions seamlessly into the Nextpoint ecosystem.
Be a Client Problem-Solver: Working directly with clients on their most challenging data projects youll provide expert consultation clear pricing quotes and regular progress updates that keep everyone informed and confident.
Drive Innovation: Youll contribute to our ever-evolving library of solutions documenting your findings and creating scripts that make future projects more efficient and effective for the entire team.
Manage Your Queue Like a Pro: Organizing and overseeing your personal data intake queue youll ensure deadlines are met and stakeholders stay updated on progress.
Bridge Technical Gaps: When issues need escalation youll be the crucial link between clients and our Software Engineering Teams ensuring problems get resolved quickly and efficiently.
Deliver Excellence Under Pressure: Working within tight deadlines in our fast-paced environment youll consistently deliver high-quality results that exceed client expectations.
Your expertise:
You have a solid foundation with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology Business Legal or related fields or youve built up the experience to back it up.
Youre technically savvy with advanced Excel skills (vlookups macros formulas) and experience manipulating data to solve real problems.
You know your way around document load files like DAT OPT CSV and LFP formats and youre comfortable working with file formats from both macOS and Windows applications. You can utilize third-party software to perform conversions when necessary.
Technical troubleshooting is your thing. You can diagnose data file issues navigate network problems and solve various technical challenges that come your way.
Youve got experience with support or ticketing systems like Zendesk or Jira and you know how to manage workflows efficiently.
Communications your superpower. Youre great at translating complex technical concepts into language that clients can understand and act on both written and verbal.
You thrive under pressure and have a proven track record of working within tight deadlines while maintaining incredible attention to detail.
Youre client-service oriented with excellent organization skills and the ability to accurately determine what clients really need then take ownership of making it happen.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with ESI (Electronically Stored Information) in litigation environments
Background with litigation support or e-Discovery software
Object-oriented development experience (Ruby Java Perl Python etc.)
