Job Title: Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Reston VA (Onsite from Day 1 Local Candidates Only)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join Fannie Maes technology team in Reston VA. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java Spring Boot Angular AWS and SQL with the ability to design develop and deliver scalable enterprise applications. Candidates must be local to VA and available for onsite work from Day 1.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and implement scalable and secure full-stack applications using Java Spring Spring Boot Angular and AWS.
- Work closely with product owners architects and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Develop RESTful APIs backend services and integrate with front-end applications.
- Optimize application performance troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability.
- Write clean efficient and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform unit testing integration testing and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD deployment in AWS cloud environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers when needed.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java J2EE Spring Spring Boot frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Angular (latest versions) for front-end development.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services and deployment strategies.
- Strong database skills with SQL (Oracle PostgreSQL or similar).
- Experience building REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with financial services / banking clients.
- Familiarity with Docker Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and full-stack development.
