Job Description
This role is for a Patient Care Technician in an acute care hospital setting. The position requires experience in an operating room (OR) environment and may consider candidates with Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and performing other related duties to facilitate the efficient functioning of the department.
- Obtaining and recording vital signs weights and specimens.
- Assisting with patient care procedures such as incentive spirometry oxygen therapy setup and post-mortem care.
- Preparing rooms for admissions and discharges.
- Assisting the nursing staff in emergency situations.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
- Performing clerical duties such as answering phones directing calls and performing data entry.
- Coordinating equipment and supply needs.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Specific OR related tasks (details not provided).
- Current CNA license (preferred may consider experience in lieu of license).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
