• Under general direction technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project. 
• Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments. 
• Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements. 
• Provides leadership for new systems development proposals implementation procedures and any related quality activity. 
• Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies. 
• Analyzes evaluates and plans methods of approach as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems. 
• Reviews project process and evaluates results. 
• Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
• Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.
• Conducts investigations and tests that are of moderate to considerable complexity. 
• Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers technicians and inspectors.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements: 

• BA/BS Engineering Architectural Engineering Construction Management and 6 years of relevant construction quality control experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

• Solid understanding of the construction delivery process. 
• Strong background and understanding of Construction Documents and Submittals. 
• Comfortable with interacting with Construction Team members and Tradespeople. 
• Knowledgeable of many different construction types and an elementary understanding of building science concepts. 
• Experience with ASTM standards and knowledge of construction testing procedures. 
• Experience with building codes is a plus but it is not required. 
• Experience in all construction-related trades especially building envelopes life safety and flooring. 
• MEPFP knowledge is a plus.  
• Able to research learn quickly and communicate that knowledge with individuals of different levels of 
• understanding.  
• Effective at promoting an idea or vision and can motivate people to action. 
• Be able to learn to provide a practical understanding of why things go wrong in the design and construction phases and the ability to direct the project team as needed. 
• Demonstrates respect for varying backgrounds and perspectives.
