Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible impactful and financial results for Visas network clients including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting data analytics brand management marketing operational and macroeconomics Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

What we expect day to day

The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects and solutions with Financial Institutions Issuers Merchants etc. This person will collaborate on challenging projects provide analysis and initiatives proactively seek existing opportunities thereby ensuring that Visa Consulting & Analytics is the preferred advisory partner.

Typical projects may include:

  • How does a financial institution increase market share in consumer credit cards

  • How should a credit card issuer use emerging technology to acquire the best customers

  • How does a financial institution grow their credit card portfolio while mitigating credit risk

  • How does a financial institution optimize their product offering

  • How should a credit card issuer use digital and emerging technology to acquire and retain the best customers

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Support a team of experienced professionals in delivering strategic consulting services to key Visa clients.

  • Complete detailed analysis on client data and identify preliminary trends and themes in the data with some guidance.

  • Conduct market research and data analysis to identify insights in the payment industry.

  • Support the development of client-specific presentations by adapting templates for unique client scenarios and needs.

  • Support senior consultants in developing and delivering high-quality advisory solutions to clients such as business strategy product development & pricing customer segmentation and customer experience improvement.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
  • Prior payment consulting experience at large management consulting firm or as a leader of large Issuer
  • Prior people leadership experience
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Self-motivated results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/ or payment schemes including products & services business systems and processes marketing initiatives and card acquiring experience
  • Skilled at using presentation data visualization and pyramid-principle storytelling to help clients make the best fact-based decisions for their business
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Technology mindset curious up-to-date with digital trends and applications


Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 89900 to 149550 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
