Job Description
This is a remote position.
- Work Schedule: Mon-Friday NZT
- Flexible schedule with preference for Asia-Pacific timezone alignment
- Client Timezone: New Zealand (NZST/NZDT)
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Finance manager level responsibilities or just below
- Direct reporting relationship with senior leadership
- Opportunity for professional development and growth within the role
- Work closely embedded with the team as a core staff member
- Timezone preference for Asia-Pacific region (Philippines New Zealand area)
- Execute month-end close processes and ensure timely completion
- Pull reports from Xero and populate Excel financial models
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and cost control activities
- Prepare intercompany journals between different entities
- Support consolidated reporting across multiple jurisdictions
- Maintain and update financial models in Excel (three-way modeling)
- Work with Stripe billing data and subscription revenue reconciliation
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions
Requirements
- Strong accounting foundation with 3-4 years of experience
- CA or CPA qualification preferred
- Expert-level proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Experience with Stripe payment processing platform
- Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling and three-way modeling
- Experience with month-end close processes and intercompany accounting
- SaaS or subscription revenue model experience preferred (can be taught)
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to work independently as a safe pair of hands
