Job Description

Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete tax returns for sole trader clients with accuracy and efficiency
- Handle manual accounting processes and documentation during the company s automation transition
- Clear existing backlogs of accounting tasks to maintain exceptional client service standards
- Support seamless service delivery while contributing to process improvement initiatives
- Prepare business activity statements and comprehensive tax-related reporting
- Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and quality in all client work
- Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process optimization
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with up to 3 years of professional experience
- Proven experience in tax return preparation and compliance
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand tax law and regulations particularly for sole traders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Comfortable working in a remote environment with excellent communication skills
- Adaptable mindset with enthusiasm for contributing to innovative automation initiatives
