JOB DESCRIPTION: Contract Administrator
Purpose: The position s primary responsibility is to oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts from creation and negotiation to execution and management. They ensure that all parties adhere to the terms and conditions of the contract manage risks and maintain accurate records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contract Creation and Negotiation: Draft review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with various parties.
Contract Management: Oversee the implementation of contracts track deadlines and ensure deliverables are met.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and develop mitigation strategies.
Compliance: Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and that the organization complies with relevant laws and regulations.
Communication requirements: Direct liaison with supply chain and subcontractors using local Australian phone system integration
Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate records of all contracts amendments and related documentation.
Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving contract-related disputes and claims.
Financial Management: May be involved in payment processing valuation and budget monitoring related to contracts.
Analysis and Reporting: Analyze contract performance identify areas for improvement and report findings to management.
Extended administrative scope: Work orders and purchase orders management accounts payable reconciliation (contractual sense) progress claims administration supply chain incoming claims processing invoice approvals before accounting handoff
Skills and Qualifications:
2 years similar experience as Contract adminstrator or HR-Legal/Compliance supporting (a)AUSTRALI REGION/MARKET and (b)CONSTRUCTION & BUILDING INDUSTRY
Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
Building and construction industry experience with preference for Australian business background
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Microsoft Word Excel MS Project proficiency plus
Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
BuildXact system experience (advantageous but not essential)
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant experience in contract administration or a related field.
contract administration which has legal considerations, distinct & specific for the (1) AU market (2) B&C industry.
