IT Incident Management Analyst
Strategic opportunity in the insurance industry for a skilled Problem Management Analyst with strong ITIL/ITSM expertise. This hybrid role in Markham emphasizes root cause analysis continuous service improvement and collaboration across IT functions. What is in it for you:
Salaried: $51-56 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $60-65 per hour.
6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week on-site.
Occasional availability required outside regular business hours.
Responsibilities:
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for all major incidents and recurring issues.
Develop and enforce the problem management processes and procedures
Collaborate with incident management teams to ensure timely resolution of problems.
Maintain and update the Known Error Database (KEDB).
Monitor and report on problem management metrics and KPIs.
Facilitate problem review meetings and post-incident reviews.
Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors/partners to identify and implement permanent solutions.
Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and organizational policies.
Provide training and support to staff on problem management processes.
Assist with other ITSM functions as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in business computer science or equivalent experience.
ITIL V4 Foundations certification (mandatory).
5 years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) specifically in the Problem Management function
1 2 years of experience in IT Operations including production support for web applications technical and data center operations storage and network management.
Customer service experience.
Proven experience in managing customer relationships.
Familiarity with formal Incident and Problem Management ITIL processes.
Extensive background in IT Service/Operations Management.
Skilled in creating detailed management reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to quickly identify root causes and implement solutions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
Ability to communicate technical guidance to IT staff and advise users on resolutions.
Experience preparing status reports and conveying key updates.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders.
Demonstrates initiative and sound judgment.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Proficient in Excel Word and PowerPoint.
