Purpose of the Role
The Project Manager (Data Migration) is responsible for planning executing and delivering data migration projects within set timelines scope and budget. The role ensures compliance with project methodologies coordinates stakeholders manages risks and guarantees the quality and integrity of migrated data.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan initiate and manage data migration projects from inception to completion.
- Define project scope objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules resource plans and budgets.
- Ensure adherence to approved methodologies and governance processes.
- Oversee ETL processes data validation and quality assurance activities.
- Monitor progress manage risks and resolve issues proactively.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among technical teams vendors and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular project status updates to management.
- Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.

Requirements
Qualifications
- 3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) or higher in an ICT-related field (e.g. Project Management Information Technology or Information Systems).
- Must-have Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) PRINCE2 or equivalent.
- Agile/Scrum certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 5 years in project management with at least 3 years specifically managing data migration projects.
- Proven experience managing software development or system implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of Project Development Methodologies including SDLC and Agile.
Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Risk management, issue resolution, and decision-making capability. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in project management tools and reporting systems.
Education
