Our client is a fast-growing education company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
Data-Driven Event Planning and Implementation
Drive the strategic design organization and successful delivery of university-wide events lead generation activities and ambassador programs.
Create and oversee detailed event plans from initial concept through to completion establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and measuring return on investment (ROI) to guide future event strategies with a primary focus on driving admissions leads.
Manage all operational elements of events including budget oversight vendor negotiations on-site management and comprehensive post-event evaluation and reporting.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Risk Mitigation
Work closely with various university departments to ensure that event content and aims are fully aligned with overall institutional objectives.
Design and implement thorough risk management frameworks for all events to safeguard the well-being of attendees and staff members.
Collaboration on Branded Merchandise and Marketing Collateral
Work closely with the Creative Services department to assist in overseeing the university s branded merchandise and promotional materials ensuring effective sourcing production inventory management and timely distribution.
Team Leadership and Operational Oversight
Guide coach and develop a dynamic Events team fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and accountability.
Define clear performance goals provide constructive feedback and promote ongoing professional development for team members such as Event Officers.
Oversee the Events department budget ensuring prudent resource allocation and compliance with financial policies.
Manage relationships with external vendors agencies and suppliers ensuring high-quality service delivery and cost efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor s degree in Marketing Communications Event Management Hospitality or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 to 6 years of progressive experience in event management with a proven record of successful planning and execution of events of varying scales.
At least three years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for managing and developing an events team.
Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end event planning and management budget control and vendor negotiation.
Strong organizational project management and prioritization capabilities.
Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot for lead tracking and data management.
Competence in data analysis and reporting to evaluate event performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Master s degree or relevant professional certifications.
Experience within the international higher education sector is highly advantageous.
