Position Overview

Reporting to the Vice President Global Economic Recovery the Managing Director leads strategy partnerships and high-level engagements to advance the Foundations priorities in global economic recovery and international cooperation. They will drive alignment with senior government officials multilateral institutions and financial leaders while overseeing strategic initiatives and managing relationships with key stakeholders to amplify the Foundations impact on global economic systems and international cooperation.
Pay Range:$225000 - $245000. This represents the present low and high ends of the Foundations pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience.
Work Schedule:This role is based in either Washington DC or New York City (Washington DC preferred) and is required to be in the office on Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the USPP/GER team and senior advisors to direct partnership engagement and interact with government leaders ministers and senior officials as well as multilateral leaders and banks to establish and seek alignment and support for USPP/GER priorities.
- Lead the strategy planning and execution of the Foundations USPP/GER priorities. Oversee and lead strategic projects tracking progress and driving next steps in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage high-profile convenings and engagement opportunities including the Foundations participation in the IMF/World Bank Spring and Annual (Fall) Meetings United Nations events and other multilateral engagements.
- Manage relationships with key leaders and stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation of briefing materials notes press releases and related materials related to these policy initiatives.
- Develop implement and manage key grants and research initiatives related to USPP/GER priorities.
Education Experience and Skills
- 12 years of relevant experience working in policy making global issues or related fields.
- Deep experience in developing and managing relationships with complex geographically diverse global organizations.
- Familiarity with the United Nations the Bretton Woods institutions and other multilateral institutions.
- Demonstrated experience and leadership in policy analysis development and implementation.
- Excellent political judgment and an understanding of geopolitical political and policy dynamics in the United States as well as globally.
- Outstanding interpersonal analytic and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize while working under multiple deadlines.
- Masters or law degree preferred.
